Over the next few weeks I would like to ask our parishioners to consider either being a lector at the Mass or a Eucharistic Minister. Such members of the ministerial team are needed in order that the Mass be celebrate reverently and smoothly. Both a lector and Eucharistic Minister should serve terms, so that new faces and voices are always welcome. This is meant to be a sign to others of welcoming all in service to God.

I will be holding training sessions in the near future for both ministerial positions. I ask all our parishioners to pray to God and ask for guidance on just how you might best serve God and His Church. I will be asking people after the Masses to consider one of these positions, but you need not wait to be “invited.” Volunteerism is a wonderful thing! Next week’s bulletin will list training date options.
