After the 11 a.m. Mass this Sunday, June 7th, we shall add the Eucharistic Procession to the end of the Mass. Traditionally we have exited the Church with the monstrance and processed to an altar in the rear field, complete with songs, the Litany of the Eucharist, adoration, prayers and a special Blessing over the people with the monstrance and Body of Christ. This year, due to the forecasted rain throughout Saturday and Sunday, we are keeping the procession in the Church proper.
Rather than everyone walking outside in the rain/rain-soaked grass, the altar servers with candles, cross and priest with monstrance will process inside the church as the people remain in their pews. Our songs and prayers remain the same as does the Eucharistic Blessing with the Blessed Sacrament. I hope you will join us for this Catholic tradition and special blessing.
