Join us on May 20th at 6 p.m. at the St. Catherine of Siena fire pit and become part of the renewed Men’s Ministry of our parish, a special invite to our newer and younger men or anyone who is interested in developing a closer relationship with Christ through growing a deeper faith life and by way of the inspired actions—good works—of a faithful Catholic man.
Problem with Joining a Ministry: Too many meetings in our already busy lives. It takes too much of my time to be more involved.
Solution: Reduce the meetings and allow for optional activities that fill the spiritual and activity needs of the individual.
Our goal here at St. Catherine of Siena Parish is to involve our men to become more active in their faith lives—coming to know Christ and what He is asking us to do with our lives. We will offer specific and simplified Bible studies and group spiritual discussions pertinent to a guy’s life; and, we will offer opportunities to meet other men and see how acting-in-community can help build our personal relationships with Christ. The goal is to illustrate how we can become the practical application of our faith in the modern world by offering our members various opportunities to do good works in our own local community. This Men’s Club Ministry will offer opportunities that one may opt into based on “interest level and time limitations.”
A meeting for a meeting’s sake is actually a waste of time. Come to what interests you—and then go forth into the world, the “deep waters of faith,” and become His disciple by helping your neighbor in need. Our spiritual meetings and events will be limited to one-hour in length, and our Catholic Action in the community, the good works, will also be scheduled for short durations of time with specific and limited actions, i.e., changing batteries in smoke alarms, delivering homemade meals to seniors in need, a bar-b-que for children in need or seniors who are lonely. Simple, inspiring and heart-moving events all designed to illustrate Christ in us—and in our community.
All men of the parish are invited to join us for a relaxing evening of food and fellowship around the church fire pit. Meet the men you see in the pews each week, enjoy some great grilling, and connect in faith and friendship.
