St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation This Sunday at 2:30 pm Archbishop Christopher Coyne will bestow the Archdiocese’s medal of appreciation, the St. Joseph Medal, on those nominated by their pastors for outstanding service to the parish.
This year, like all years, it is difficult to select just one person or couple as our parish is blessed with numerous choices of talented people who spend themselves for the good of our parish community. This year, Peter Pabich was selected as our community’s nominee and he was accepted by Archbishop Coyne. The ceremony will take place Sunday, March 15, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph on Farmington Avenue. Our parishioners are welcome to attend the ceremony, which is a brief liturgy of the Word and the bestowing of medals by the archbishop.
Peter has been a member of our parish from the time his family, Ed and Patty Pabich joined in 1976. Today, Peter is a Catechist in our Faith Formation Program, a regular Sunday morning Mass attendee and serves as a Sunday morning usher, and is a member of our Finance Council bringing his wealth management expertise to the table, and is involved in many parish events with his family members.
We are honored to award Peter with this acknowledgement of his lived-Catholic faith here in our parish, in his family, and in the greater Simsbury community. Congratulations, Peter!
